    Multiple items will not load... making the game unplayable :(

    Sometimes when I switch jobs, talk to vendors or just get loot, the icons in my game don't load:

    This also extends to my player model, when if I switch jobs, it will take 5-10 seconds to actually switch my armor look, or won't load my player model at all. Even mounting up triggers this, and I'll just ride around invisible for a bit on my screen.

    To add to this, I'll be fighting, and suddenly my character freezes in the default battle pose, and the sound cuts out. Abilities are still firing, and I can see the boss cast bars, but I can't see any animations playing out from any character, until they all happen at once. My group says it doesn't look like I'm lagging, and I'm not missing any mechanics when it happens.

    Also, when I have to fight things during a quest, the enemy character models don't load in.. They're still doing damage to me, but I'm unable to see them/click on them, so I just die. Continuously.

    This only started recently in the last week or so. I've rebooted my router, reinstalled both video and sound drivers, and FFXIV.

    I'm wondering if anyone has seen this before. I love this game, but this is making it unplayable any help is appreciated <3

    Hello adventurer!

    Thank you for posting in the FINAL FANTASY XIV Technical Support Forums. You mentioned that this error only started occurring within the last week or so; are you able to recall if there were any changes made to the PC prior to these issues happening? Do you notice any drops in frames, or does the game crash at any point? Are these issues limited to certain areas or are they consistent throughout different areas of the game?

    I would also recommend trying out some of these troubleshooting tips that may help with alleviating the issue:

    1. Update your Windows Operating system using Windows Update. Please be sure to check for any option updates, as these aren't installed automatically.
    2. Disable all programs or overlays running in the background.
    3. Make sure your anti-virus software has the appropriate exceptions for FINAL FANTASY XIV.

    If possible, could you provide us with a System Report as well? You can access this by selecting the 'Config' option in the game's launcher. From there, click on 'Display'.
