Xbox Controller malfunction

When I log into the actual game my Xbox One controller suddenly malfunctions and the buttons are either not doing what they are assigned to do or trying to do two things at once?
Some examples
X Button-Zooms in+jump ( at once)
Start- system menu+ the in game menu it jumps to the in game menu but goes to the system menu
A Button- Opens chat? Or is it trying to confirm something but can't and it some times will select things?
R.Analog- Moves character+zooms in

I have checked my drivers, I've done the calibration on steam and in FF 14. I also tried playing another game to make sure it wasn't my controller itself but it works perfectly fine. This also ONLY occurs in game. On the title screen and character select screen the buttons work exactly how they are supposed to.

I'm sorry to hear that your Xbox One controller is not working as intended when playing FINAL FANTASY XIV. Does this same issue occur when you try plugging the controller into a different port on the PC? Have you tried unplugging other USB devices and only leaving the controller plugged in? Additionally, are there any other controllers that you could test to see if the same issue occurs? I would also recommend performing a fresh reinstall of your controller's drivers.

I have tried using different ports, reinstalling my drivers and leaving only controller plugged in and restarting my pc. The problem still occurs ONLY when I am completely logged into the game.
