Constant Stuttering in Dungeons Since Moogle Event

Since the moogle event started a few days ago I'm finding the pretty much every dungeon I'm in experiences stuttering a couple times a minute. All looks good then suddenly everyone freezes for a bit then the game catches up and they're a few steps ahead.

Driving me insane right now.

Latency doesn't appear to be an issue - been monitoring TCP connections during play and with very few exceptions latency remains under 100ms with a few spikes to maybe 120.

Tried a VPN to see if there is some sort of disconnect from my ISP but outside of adding roughly 20ms to the latency overall experienced the same issues.

Asked in the FC and others are experiencing this as well. Wondering what the group thoughts are on this - is there anything at all that can be done to alleviate the stutters?

Ive also experienced this on and off recently. It's not like rubberbanding exactly, but pretty similar. Never was a problem before.

Thanks Lustre! When these things happen you're always 2nd guessing if it's something on your computer/network or with the game servers.

I'm also getting these. It wasn't happening until about two ish weeks ago. I don't have this kinda rubberband-y lag in any other online game so methinks it is SE's server side.

(Perhaps the heat is causing issues lmao).

It doesn't happen to me in any other MMO I play either and I have a 1gb cable connection. It's only FFXIV and it's almost about to make me cancel my sub.

Been having this since I came back to the game a couple weeks ago. It's like packet loss maybe. Everyone and the mobs will freeze but I can move and click skills for like 3-10 seconds. Then it all catches up at once. It's making avoiding mechanics almost impossible sometimes and has scared me off of healing any group content.

My main is a WHM and I'm at the part in the story where I need to do a trial but I'm way too scared to try and heal it with this crap going on all the time. I put in a ticket with the ping log that was on their support page about it.
