SE you are now running out of apartments..
Balmung the first many more to come, before it gets out control Make housing account wide and there be more apartments.
Since people are using apartments for alts to be able to store event rewards have there have a place for summing bells mender crystal bells all that..No one really likes your Inns.

Just make housing account wide so people with houses can let there alts use there stuff in there house..

This is just another band aid fix but might help a bit and is something we need..
It cant be impossible cause I know a couple people with there alts on there friends list due to a old glitch (not me kinda sadly) which shows we can lest friend our alt sand move them i as tenants.

I realize the housing issues isnt as big of a problem on JP servers whos numbers seems to be 7k-8k people per server...but NA and EU have alot more per server

Yes, would love to be able to share a house with my alts. I am fairly sure this was promised a while ago, but then nothing happened and nothing more was said.
It won't fix the house shortage, but it would definitely help.

Right now, the only way to have your alt characters use the same house as your main is this:
Login, teleport, use task manager to close game before it finishes casting, log other character, friend your alt and relog to alt to accept.

There needs to be a better way than doing that. So why not if 1 of your characters get a house, all your other characters can help decorate that house automatically, even transfer ownership to main if you wanted too.

Yoshida stated during the EW announcement stream iirc, that having all characters sharing one house is in the works but was also filled with excuses on why they cannot just do it just yet.

Not being able to share a house is just one of the things that we lost in their race to get housing out as fast as possible. Wait til you hear about the towers and turrets and expanded interiors that were planned as the primary use for free and grand company points but never implemented because they rushed the entire housing thing.

They patched that out in SB sadly.

Unfortunately that was patched many, many years ago. It was the second time you could friend your own characters and both times SE went out of their way to patch it ASAP.

For whatever reason they really don't want us friending our own characters (retainer sales?) even years later it clearly works just fine without a problem as they also didn't remove it from anyone who did it and those people can still mail their alts and add them to their own housing.

I thought SE had fixed that exploit several years ago. Have you done it recently?

Allowing players to friend their alts wouldn't stop retainer sales. Having the additional retainer for an extra $2/mo is a lot more convenient than trying to shuffle items between characters even if you can mail items between them.

Mail is limited to 20 attachments pending in your inbox at a time. That means a lot of headaches logging off one character, logging onto another character, sending the mail, logging out, logging back in, and retrieving the mail (then possibly repeating the process depending on how many items you needed or if they're split between multiple characters).

Houses account wide would work well with 1 FC 1 House per DC.

Houses should be shared with all the characters on your acct. Theyre all you, its YOUR house, thats fine and right. With that said, theres no need for hyperbole. Balmung finally ran out of apartments again(3 months? im impressed it took that long), but can you find another server at even 2/3 capacity? Last i looked, no one else was over half - and that was before empyreum added 4300+ apartments that most of this forum wont even consider to be part of the housing system.
