Current Crystal credit system is really a waste of time.

Basically What is the point of winning and losing after reaching crystal? you basically get 98 to 102 credit crystal if you win a match, regardless of your effort into the match, and then at the same time when you lose you still lose the same amount around 98 to 102? Like what is even the point? I would of assumed it would be if you win say get 80-100 point on that range depending on your performance, and then if you lose you lose around half that amount like 40-50 or so?

I'm pretty sure this was mentioned before somewhere but in my honest opinion this feels like a waste of time trying to climb after crystal, because you can get lucky and say win 10 games you get 1000 crystal credit or around, get placed in top 100 and then when you play more you lose all of that 1000 you got back to crystal zero credit..

Sure if you're not much into pvp and just here for the rewards. Most people that keep going after crystal play for PvP's sake and/or prove themselves in the leaderboards.

I'd even say for the community as well. Join a PvP streamer's chat and see how many pvp players hang around in there to chill and discuss matches.

Sorry I misunderstood and took the quote I snipped as the point of your post.

I get what you mean now I think. They could just have gone for a +1/-1 system instead of weird inconsequencial credit variance values like 98 or 102.

Ranking decay fixes 0 problems. Forcing people to play 1 game a week wont make PvP more interesting for people

Of course you don't have to play everyday if you are a casual player who is just playing for the fun of the game simple content, but if you play a ranked content you don't have to remain on your rank and just park in there till the season end, ranking decay is a thing in every pvp game with ranking system, and mostly applied on the people who are parking in top 100 EU/NA/etc, and should be applied here if they want this new pvp mode to even be a big thing.

Why? because there are many alt character parking in the top 100 simply ruining the matchmaking for everyone.

People who don't play that often likely aren't going for top 100. This isn't about them. I hope they continue to enjoy the game as they do.
The crystal credit ranking when you reach Crystal, used for top 100 scoring, could use some inactivity decay to keep the queues going and to stop people from getting a lucky streak early on and just sitting there.
