Unstable latency when connecting to US servers

Hello, first time posting here, created my account here just to post this. I usually get 190 ping when connecting to the US servers as I live far away from then (Brazilian player), but on last weeks I'm getting sometimes 350+ and a really unstable ping when playing ONLY in the american server. I get 230 ping when connectiing to the EU servers but a much more stable connection. Tested both in the pingplotter program as I will show bellow:



Now look at how it is when I connect to EU servers:



It's not my internet, everything works fine, only FFXIV is like this and only the american servers. I can't do any content now without my actions delaying a ton of people freezing on places.

I tried contacting my ISP (Oi Fibra) but they said then can't do anything as the internet is working fine and with the correct speed. Not sure what do do.

I used to have this issue too and it only happened on FFXIV US servers (I'm connecting from NZ).

The way I fixed it was by connecting to a VPN server in San Francisco. To this day its the only way I can play FFXIV. It did not used to be like this months prior.

edit: A connection to SF was not needed, but it did give me the best latency out of the rest.

your ISP can't help you if the nodes in between it and the servers are crapping out. your only hope is to wait it out and hope they fix their doo-doo, or use a VPN to go an alternate route.

If it makes you feel better, NY-CA is always a pretty unstable connection but I've recently also been having some snaffoos. Been seeing upwards of 400 ping at times.

The problem is shown there as being with Telefonica International Wholesale Network.

This is one where you can try talking to your ISP, but is likely one you will have to VPN around or wait out. SE certainly can't fix this.
