Where to store Dye and Materia?

Quick and probably stupid question...

Where the heck do I store all of it??? I've got TONS of both! Do I just shove it into my retainer or is there something in say, my armoire that holds my dye I'm just not seeing???

you put it either in your own inventory/saddlebag/retainers/free company chest. there is no other special place for them.

think about whether you really need to keep everything you might be holding on to.

Look at the Item Help for the dye. If it says:

• Shop selling price: ____g - It's easily obtainable from an NPC. Toss it.
• Shop selling price: ____g (Restricted) - It's obtainable from an NPC but there is an unlock requirement, usually tribal quests. If you've completed the necessary requirements, toss it.
• Shop selling price: None - It's either a crafted dye, a premium dye (retainer / cash shop), or a dye purchased with unusual currency like Skybuilders' Scrips. Search your Crafting Log for the recipe. If it's crafted, toss it.

Basically, if you only hoard (1) dyes you are actively using on one or more glamours; and (2) dyes that can cannot be purchased from an NPC or crafted; you will spend less time reobtaining the dyes you need than you would spend on managing your inventory to accommodate dyes you don't need.
