I'm sure it'll make it a very small difference
but it's not gonna automatically make the fights easier especially when we have no clue about fight design.

Just enjoy the content and stop doom thinking before it even is releasedThe tier might surprise you
In a normal patch : Super strong raider will rush the normal raid, clean, maybe dispatch loot for one or two people to have 610ilv raid stuff with good sub strat like crit. A lot of people will craft them a full pentameld ilv 610 stuff, potion and food. They will jump on savage, and clear in like... 3 or 4 days
With this patch. The same. Except they can actually take time to read the story, farm the new EX for 615 ilv weapon and MAYBE farm for ONE "big piece" worth 825 tomestone. IF Tomestone come day one and not one week after.
It's not like suddenly savage is out but we already are full tomestone gear. Super strong people will clear in 3 ou 4 days. People that usually struggle will maybe struggle a bit less thank to extra HP and DPS if they manage to farm the new EX. Nothing that will break savage and let 80% of people clear P8S
i sometimes wonder if it's less that savage content has gotten easier and more just people who have been playing the game for years are now good at the game and so any new content seems "easier than before".
if you play a game nearly every day for 5-8 years straight then f course it's gonna feel easier.
This. most people complain about perceived difficulty because they've been playing it for so long they've gotten better at playing the game. Whereas anyone that's newer and fresher to the game will not see that as such.i sometimes wonder if it's less that savage content has gotten easier and more just people who have been playing the game for years are now good at the game and so any new content seems "easier than before".

FFXIV is super easy and you do not need years to get good at it at all lol.
im baby
Why is it that people who complain about this stuff almost never complete content when it is relevant? It changes nothing, and even if it does change something, SE has already stated that the balance of savage content will be altered significantly if it is to be a regular thing. Whether that's good or bad is up for debate, but I would be morbidly curious on what changes they do make going forward.
With current changes, world first racers will have a tome chest or pants week 2 if they decide to rush for it (they won't unless required to). One designated raider caps week one and gets an augmented tome weapon theoretically. Boss numbers are adjusted theoretically with that in mind. It's still the same race and not magically tainted.
Also, with the exception of expansion launch patches, they have always released the current patch Astronomy esque tomestone. Expansion launch patches always had only Aphorism esque stuff. This is nothing new and people reinterpreting patches have either never played before or deliberately misinterpreting information for the sake of argument.

Oh no!
World first clears might happen a few hours earlier!
OH THE INHUMANITY!!
this change is going to be great for the community as a whole. You don't have to pick between a week 1 ex clear and a week 1 savage clear. You can enjoy the story. And if they release crafting at 6.2 even better - You don't have to get gouged by price gouging crafters and can get your own stuff at your pace.
This is all positive for the typical player.
You don't need years to get good at it, but just means that after years of playing it you can be very good at it.
As a very new sprout I honestly had trouble with the level 14 solo battle. I wasn't used to how to cast spells, how to dodge, how enemy AOEs worked. I think I failed it two or three times before I completed it.
If I replay it now, it's an absolute breeze and I easily understand what to do. But back then, I didn't.
Really won't make a difference. Maybe the World First groups will clear slightly sooner. That's literally it.
Overall praise where it's due, this is a good change on SE's part.
