    FFXIV Not Responding

I been having a problem lately when i been playing that the game will randomly stop responding then come back for 2 seconds and then not respond again it will constantly do this until it disconnects or i force d/c. Is anyone else having this problem. I am on Excalibur don't know if it a server problem or a system problem. Any help on this will be much appreciated.

If you're running Windows 7 there is an error that occurs periodically regarding DNS. Setting them manually to 208.67.222.222 and the secondary to 208.67.222.220 will alleviate the problem if this is what it is. You will still maintain connection for programs like Skype and Vent but the game will poop kittens.

I have a lot of crashes in Win7 when alt-tabbing/zoning. . . You could always try running it in compatibility mode for vista SP2 or something and see if that helps. Make sure your graphics drivers are waaaay up to date if you've not checked those already.

Random crashes seem to happen alot atm when the game is loading objects for me, 90% of the time it crashes in Ul'dah but i've had about 4 crashes happen out of no where just seems like a buggy client.

I do get the occasional stall that will sometimes also lead to a crash.

While I haven't actually pinned anything down specifically, I'm getting the feeling that it is processing-related for me. Whenever I'm trying to do something in my internet browser, such as opening a new tab, while the game is also operating in a higher-stress environment such as highly popoulated areas. That could also be related to the data requests, but it's not the vibe I'm getting.

Might check my DNS as well, just in case...
