Could someone that is better at gardening than me answer a question or give me some insight into the growing of Jute?

I scoured about looking for the crossbreeding process that seemed the most ideal for growing Jute and landed on crossbreeding Mandrake and Linseed (Flax) that supposedly will yield both Azeyma Rose and Star Anise Seeds, but I've only gotten Azeyma Rose Seeds twice after two full cycles of growing these things at my private house and my FC house. Am I just unlucky or am I doing something wrong here? I have sixteen Azeyma Rose Seeds but no Star Anise Seeds to move onto the next step in the crossbreeding process.

Any advice would be gratefully appreciated, please and thank you.

Looks like the recommended uses store bought seeds that then get turned in for bonus items via exotic plant turn in, might have to try it myself for a while.

Wait... Wait, hold on... The instructions here are to invest in Jute seed to... grow Jute seed? Am I understanding that correctly?

If that's the case, that seems really silly and asinine. I didn't really *want* to have to buy Jute seed to grow Jute seed if at all possible. But at least this resource does list legitimate parent seeds for Jute growing that doesn't involve just buying it to grow into more Jute seed.

well that is the top option with the highest % to give you a seed most do the one under it

Yes, Jute is one of the rare crosses that will produce itself though there are still other crosses that produce it. Once you have it going, you shouldn't need to buy additional Jute seeds. If anything, you should end up with extra to sell.

Miner retainer Missions can get you lvl 50 grade 3 top soil hourly (little under a hour i think)

Also unidentifiable ore can be bought with Poetics and traded for gr. 3 Thanalan topsoil in Idyllshire.

Be aware that jute is also one , if not the most fragile plant, you really need to look at your garden daily or it will rot.
