Dark Knight or Gunbreaker

Hi y’all I’m playing a Roe female dragoon and having a blast. I used to play wow and main dk for dark class and lore. Now I only play ff14 with other games and I want to unlock dark knight and reaper. I’m not in heavensward yet but I will be and I really want to try dk. However some people say to go gunbreaker for a dps main like me. I want to get dark knight but should I go to gunbreaker? Also I’m still stucking with dragoon and reaper but I want to ask dk mains is it a fun class?

There's no consequence for trying out multiple jobs since multi-classing is a thing

that being said and going off information in OP's post and considering they aren't even in HW yet
They'll technically get access to DRK first but it starts at level 30 so they'd have to retread old ground and do content they just completed before they progress anymore msq
Whereas if they wait til 60 they can swap to GNB right away and progress through msq as a GNB

those are my practical thoughts
as far as which job is ultimately more "fun" is subjective

There isn't a clear-cut one you get access to "first".

Because DRK requires MSQ progress to Heavensward, then there's a fair chance of hitting level 60 before reaching HW, at which point GNB becomes available sooner.

OP's character info says they've already hit level 60, so they can pick up GNB right now.

there is a pretty big divide if people find DRK fun or not especially on forum but you seem really interested in DRK so might as well go with that and you can always unlock GNB later if you dont like it.

Paladin Rank 1 Best defense, good dps, can heal and have the strongest attacks, can use magic attacks, great at pvp
Warrior Rank 2 Good defense, Best dps, great at pvp
Gunbreaker Rank 3 Good defense, Bad dps, very bad at pvp
Dark Knight Rank 4 Bad defense, good dps, bad at pvp

Yes, this is my personal point of view from my experience, if you find that there are mistakes I wait for your explanations otherwise it's useless to say that.
