Emergency NA DC Maintenance 7/24 quesiton

Just need to know if people can still log into the game when this maintenance is happening?

From the wording of affected services and what not, it looks to only be world server travel and DC travel. Not noting anything that login to FFXIV or playing it is unavailable like some other notices I have seen.

When there is a Maintenance, the game goes offline for the maintenance.
Sometimes they are short, sometimes they are 24 hours. It depends on how big the update is...but regardless, when its happening you cant play the game.

During this period, North America Data Center will be unavailable.

So no, the NA servers will all be down. Gonna have to play something else for the day.

You'll be able to login to play on the EU and JP worlds. It's only NA worlds that are affected.

This. It's not a 24-hour maintenance, only 6 hours, and it's happening overnight on the East Coast. If you're on the West Coast or somewhere in the middle, it'll hit the evening a bit.

I'm curious what exactly was failing, that the game overall was able to stay up for the time being. It's hard for me to eyeball things like this since my own net is horrible in the first place and chain-disconnects are something I'm used to.
