
 
			
			
				Diminishing Returns and Star Wars the Old Republic's "Resolve" PvP system were talked about earlier in the thread. An extra charge of purify or a shorter CD on the one is probably the most realistic outcome, so I assume that's why everyone is asking for it.Everyone is saying purify charges, but nobody is talking about immunity build-up? Don't get me wrong, I'm all down to purify having a second charge, but the idea of building a temporary immunity to certain CCs the more they're used on you sounds like a better alternative to me. Prevents spam stunning passively and forces the attacker to think about the when and how they CC. Purify would just be remain a "get out of jail free" skill. Of course, this applies to all CCs separately.
This is how it works in PvE. I have no clue why they wouldn't include this in PvP, but I'm no game designer.

Even as of Patch 6.2, everyone i used Meteor Drive on still using Purify thinking it is a stun when it is not

 
			
			
				How exactly would reducing the power of CC be a handicapped feature? If anything it'll be removing a crutch for bad players. Being able to use purify whilst being hit by MNK LB is also stupid, it's no different than say DNC or RPR LB in that you lose complete control of character, yet you can't accidentally waste purify in those situations.This PvP is already dumb down a lot as it is, do we really need another handicapped feature?

Gold Lock is real. De-Rank Dream Mode is on. Devs are out to lunch, and someone copy pasted the wrong code memo. Stand by until fixes are implemented in 2027.

 
			
			
				PvP in FFxiv is a fun mode, dont be stupid and take it too serious.I don't how the PvP team managed to make something so awful from an already awful mode. I genuinely do not understand how a human being could playtest this and think that it's fine and release it to paying customers. Ignoring the the god awful job balance, terrible maps, garbage servers and the stupid way the mode handles vfx, the obnoxious amount of CC is just unbelievable.
Why would you dump so many garbage CC abilities into a fast-paced game mode filled to the brim with burst damage and only give players 1 charge of purify on a 30sec CD, along a resilience buff that barely works?
Did they just hire a bunch of random people who've never played FFXIV to designs this mode? Why would you take out Fetterward? Why would you not implement diminishing returns? What is wrong with these people, was this mode even playtested?
If I could make one request to the PvP team it would be this "Please play the game yourselves".
And all of a sudden, it begins to work well.
