This game is already a clipping fiesta. Half the chestpieces in XIV clip horribly with my tail. Half the hairstyles will go though chestpieces with a high collar. Target a boss and you'll slice through your own nape with the GNB stance. A ton of sheathed weapons will clip through various pieces of gear. etc
What they need to give up on is the pretense that clipping was ever something they really cared about in the first place.

And that's why don't make any sense they not allow Vieras and Hroths all the hats.
We don't care about clipping! We just wanna use hats and feel normal as full developed races!
