application not responding

Upon clicking play the game, it would normally enter with the Endwalker planet scene right?
mine just black screened and no matter how many times i restart it it keeps saying application is not running.
Not directX error or anything, version check can be done too. have tried both launcher layout, what is happening to my game

1. What platform / operating system? PC, Steam, PS4/5, Mac? I'm assuming PC since you mentioned DirectX, but just want to be sure.

2. Have you rebooted? This is an honest question. Computers in particular tend to behave better after a clean start.

Edit: After posting this, I ran into the same issue! There is a new Nvidia driver. I installed the driver, rebooted my computer, and then was able to log in successfully.
