The Women FFXIV Needs

I do notice a lot of the current hairstyle options for men lean more towards feminine, and I really hope more masculine/shorter hairstyles get added for male characters (and I guess for female characters as well) to balance things out. A variety of options is always a good thing.
Might be a surprise to some... but I would actually enjoy seeing more rugged/masculine looking characters as well.

I would personally prefer more feminine options are added on the regular, I am just disappointed at how it means players who want masculine styles get left out. If they do masculine/shorter styles players who want feminine styles get left out - which then leaves us with the issue of getting these unisex styles instead. Unisex styles that tend to lean more on the feminine if anything.

I have always supported more options for everyone, I just have some personal opinions on those options, that get me into arguments, as you should well know. So both for both would be great, even though I would pretty much never use the shorter masculine styles. For me, I want rugged/masculine characters that are also good looking - which this game seems to lack. Sure, there's highlander, but.. yeah, no.. Anyway, this talk is for the other thread.

I will not be satisfied until I see people running around in Kreia cosplay.

As I said in the men's version of this thread though, this game has absolutely pitiful character customization (and glamour/skin customization) for something that's a decade old. Even older games like Aion (which was launched in 2009, is currently F2P, and runs on an engine absolute not designed for MMOs,) does all of this better. We need more options and more freedom for both genders and all races. Can we please ditch having pre-made faces and such exclusively and finally get sliders to fine tweak the way our characters look?

More muscle tone/definition in my case. I have the muscle slider to 100% and it's still basically nothing compared to a Highlander's or Roe's. Would really appreciate an athletic body type to show how good of a sellsword/mercenary/miner Aelia is.

Yoshida needs to find a way to get his hands on Nioh 2's character creator from Team Ninja. That game has the sexiest character creator I've ever seen on console. Even on a PS4. Its sliders are sweet and simple, and your character ends up looking pristine no matter how they look.

Enough unisex hair styles that don't actually satisfy either gender. Give us separate masculine and feminine hairs. Sure, let both genders use both (and for pity's sake, include Viera and Hrothgar already!), but the constant androgynous stuff isn't really doing it for a lot of people.

Except for the fact female characters are locked at being scrawny (the arms especially) and male characters are locked at being bulky. You simply have different levels of scrawny/bulky. The muscle slider is as much of a joke as it is in FFXIV, namely the fact that you have the muscular body type regardless of if you have any muscle definition on males and no muscles regardless of the definition on females.

This thread OP doesn't seem to be the women that XIV needs and more just the superficial options that should be available. I agree with other posters that if we want variety, the focus should be on body types, aging, and muscle tone instead of hair and facial features.
