Remove Ocean Fishing Missed Catch RNG

After losing several Triple Hooked large fish in Ocean Fishing one too many times to nothing but unavoidable RNG, leaving an empty hook at the end of my rod and a gaping void in my heart, I would like to suggest the removal of % catch RNG for regular/spectral fish. There is no way to mitigate the potential of losing a fish after hooking it. There is no way to recoup the lost GP spent on Identical Cast/Perfect Catch/Triple Hook/Angler Arts' stacks. Fishing is supposed to be heavily RNG-dependent, yes, but this just seems cruel for no reason.

High-value fish (green & blue intuition fish) can keep the % chance of catching them, since getting them is an RNG crapshoot anyway and it adds to the excitement of catching a truly rare fish. Losing a regular ol' Triple Hooked fish, >1000 GP, and thousands of Ocean Fishing points to something out of your control is not fun gameplay.

    plz change :3

Losing a regular Triple Hooked fish is a very very rare thing (unless you're under the effect of Patience or Patience II). I've been doing Ocean Fishing every day in the past month, and I haven't encountered any failed Triple Hook in the past month at all.

Perhaps you were trying to "blindly" Triple Hook a !!! fish outside Spectral Current? If you do that, you will likely lose your GP for Triple Hook because the !!! could be a Spectral Fish, and Spectral Fish has a high chance of getting away. So if you encounter a !!! outside a Spectral Current, you should approach with care and avoid using Triple Hook.

After all, even if you managed to catch it, your Triple Hook effect is nullified, since Spectral Fish yield is only 1 even under the effect of Triple Hook. This "always 1-yield" rule also applies to all Intuition Fish as well, so please do NOT use your Triple Hook on them.

It is common enough for it to happen on several occasions in Spectral Currents, using Identical Cast/Perfect Catch/Triple Hook. This is extremely unfortunate, perhaps, but this system ought not to allow this to occur in the first place, regardless.

It also happens to normally-hooked fish, without using Patience I/II, at a decent enough rate to be noticeable and annoying, despite being at lv90 and using current BiS gear.

If any criticism of a system can be brushed off by saying "Well it's supposed to be RNG", without any care for how that RNG impacts the player, then it is impossible to criticize the system at all. This seems plainly absurd.

Do you remember which particular fishing during Spectral Current that you were trying to use IC on?
I think it'd help if we look into the missing rate of that fish.

Fishing in FFXIV mimics many parts of real-life fishing. We know this through the mechanics and care that goes into many of the species of fish (they almost all have real-life counterparts). FFXIV fish is, in some part, almost a fishing-sim, rather than something you might see in Stardew Valley or something.

PART of that mimicry and fishing-sim-ness is the fact that sometimes, no matter what, a fish will bite and just slip off the hook. The impact on the player is the immersion and allusion towards a real-life fishing experience. Is it a 1:1 replica of real-life fishing? No. Does it take parts of it? Yes.

I will add that regardless of your level, no fish is ever a 100% catch rate. Common (white background) fish are - HEAVILY impacted by gathering though, so the higher it is, the less likely it will be to get away; but it is never 100%.
