Why no cross-data-center pvp?

Even if it was possible, how would the host server be decided on? Imagine having to PvP with 200+ ping vs people who are like 50 or below.

In theory it would be really nice for constant games around the clock but in practise not only is it a pain to make work, it would handicap some players every game.

AFAIK you can still pvp in casual mode, but not ranked mode?

The only solution would be having a separate option for what region you want to PvE in and do ranked PvP in. I.e a player in crystal could choose to compete in Light DC for PvP but I doubt they'd go out of their way to do that unless a **LOT** of people ask for it.

Cross-DC PvP is one of my biggest wishes, but the server infrastructure wouldn't permit it.

Just look at the rigamarole we have to go through with the new DC transfer feature and you'll understand it's just not possible Mr. Bateman.
