    Yeah, I see the same issues since today. It seems to be based on time of day for me as well.

    Had the issue for the first time months ago, then haven't had problems up until today. The trace-route looks about the same, but I'm from Germany so there's some differences.

    Still, the problems appear around the same parts of the route.

    Yes, I have the same problem since today on Light DC. The game was playable the whole day, but since around 1 hour (4pm CET) it startet with the lags. Dungeons, Raids and Trials are mostly unplayable at the moment.

    As TachiFoxy said, it seems that lags are starting shortly before primetime CET. In the morning and lunch time no lags and perfectly playable.

    Yeah, I am a Telekom-customer as well. Could be that, for no discernable reason, their traffic to the EU data-centres is being routed differently today. Maybe an outage or a bottle-neck of the infrastructure between where we are and where the DCs are located.

    I tried it yesterday evening also with Vodafone Fibre Cable connection and also got lags. It seems not on the Telekom is affected from this issues

    I also tried different games yesterday evening (WoW, GW2 and LA) an they had no lag issues and running fine. Only FFXIV is affected from the lags yet.

    Not only latency issues now but also packet loss that is leading to random disconnects. Only ffxiv affected. Been monitoring all services i am using for the last couple of days, only ffxiv is acting up. People from my FC are also affected by the same issue.

    Exactly, but square enix support all the time I contacted them seemed to ignore those facts and told me to ask my ISP to fix the issue where they have no control, it doesn't make sense that I live in Portugal and have 200+ ms on French/German servers (I don't know which because square can't answer me that question either).

    Greetings back, that is all good and nice advice but the Problem are your servers, its been about one month and the issues become only worse, during 6-9 pm (Mid Eu time) raids become barely playable, i have lag spikes non stop , up to FIVE seconds delays in the middle of a fight where i cant push any buttons other people stand still and then suddenly everything moves really fast to catch up. I just did an alliance raids and i couldnt even do my normal 1 2 3 rotation properly because it takes 2 seconds to refresh my hotbar.

    This is game breaking and makes me not want to even play anymore.

    and no it is NOT, i repeat >NOT< my pc or connection.

    Got massive packet loss issues for a few months on my end. Always on primetime.
    ISP: Telekom (Germany)
    Server: Light / Lich

    I did run PingPlotter a few times. It seems the packet loss occurs at most in the telia network.

    To my fellow EU german fellows using Telekom - consider also checking the route geographically.

    I'm not sure if it still applies to me, but as someone living in Munich with the datacenter being in Frankfurt, you'd think it will route you straight from A to B as the shortest and most efficient route.

    It sent me to Sweden Stockholm for four hops and then to Frankfurt originally. This is messed up.
