I wouldn't say no - though arguably it would have been better if it happened sooner when Garlemald was more relevant to the story.
Good point - Gaius' latest appearance being him in a rooster suit doesn't exactly inspire confidence.![]()

Honestly? Yes. I'd take him as a companion, I find his whole story and development quite interesting and it has so much potential for a lot of interesting conflicts. So given that he doesn't end up as some comic relief sooner or later, I'd take him as a travelling companion anytime. I enjoyed his whole "I'm still a son of Garlemald" stance; proved you can learn to see some things differently without giving everything up that made him who he is.
Bit late for it, I agree with Theodric there, but still worth having imo.
I could see it working if we're going across the world to another continent. Example, finding out we need to go to Meracydia, and discovering a Legion was sent there and hasn't been heard from in a while. The legatus of said legion Gaius personally knows and is worried about, as said legatus never misses reporting in. He decides to come with us just in case things need to be smoothed over with the Legatus, along with several not-Scions or B-list Scions (Hoary Boulder maybe?). Basically get a reason for him to be traveling with us, and get some lesser used characters to go along with to Meracydia. Use it as an excuse to flesh out Gaius and those characters more.Honestly? Would more options be good? Sure. As long as it doesn't go as far as "Dude that's been very roughly chiseled from a slab of Granite with skin that looks as rough as volcanic rock feels. " or your typical Mr. Universe contestant.
Why not? If "literally a baby on a man's body" is acceptable for the game, why not this?
Even Nomura, for all the shit he gets, knew he had to design at least one stereotypically masculine character in his sea of pretty boys.
Funny I don't remember most of the player base saying they liked or that they wanted more characters that were Emmanellain Fortemps clones. You know a character model that actually uses one of the few baby face types. Yet I feel the other extreme is going too far. I said I wouldn't be against more options or even more representation of npcs that looked like your Henry Cavills, Idris Elbas or Chadwick Bosemans. I'd even go for Michael B Jordan or Anthony Mackie, but I think a few in this thread would call them too smooth and not masculine enough. Even Lou Diamond Phillips would be on my list. Along with Sebastian Stan.
Ideally, yes. Especially if the story ever takes us back to Ilsabard. Here are some other actors/characters that I think would be good to see in game:
Jason Momoa

Kinda wish Gaius became a more permanent character.
Either way: I'm all for more customization to fit all tastes so everyone can make their dream character/avatar in game.
