New North American Datacenter

Greetings all!!

My apologies if I have posted this in the world place. In a post on the Lodestone dated 01/13/2022: there is mention of a new logical datacenter for North America with 4 new worlds. The article says it is to be implemented around August 2022. However, there has not been a update since January and I am wondering if this is still going to happen or did I miss an update somewhere? Thanks all! Once again, I apologize if I posted this in the wrong place.

you haven't missed anything. since there's been no update you can safely assume it's been delayed. the devs are really good at letting us know when things are ready to be implemented and when the timeline gets closer to things actually happening instead of giving out an estimate there will definitely be news on the lodestone. so for now, just keep on going about your business.

Can agree with the other post. If it was on schedule there'd probably be an update or two telling us about how well it's progressing.

Or maybe not, EU didn’t get much updates until it’s worlds was added 2 weeks ago.

They already announced August for the first of two NA additions. The next thing we'll see is the downtime announcement. 6.2 is likely to be on the 23rd, so maybe two weeks before that.

Nothing more has been said about the new NA data center.

Personally I think it will be mentioned in the next Live Letter, whether it's to announce a date or a delay. It would almost make sense to add the new data center with patch 6.2 because they'd already have the long maintenance scheduled instead of needing to do two within the same month (assuming the data center is still on schedule for August). That would also be about the same time the EU world announcement got.
