Im almost certain this is aimed at like...Crystal Chronicles or other switch SE games with multiplayer.
Also despite never seeing fanart or ANYTHING about it Dragon Quest 10 is on switch and must still have a huge jp playerbase.
But imagine, for a moment, that like dq10 is getting, they made FF14 Offline and it looks like a psx/snes game.
