The scenes with Urianger and Moenbryda's parents...I saw time and again he tried to avoid them, and even as a character I realised he was TERRIFIED of what her parents might say to him, blame him for her death, tear him to pieces..instead what we saw was a mothers love, the relief in his eyes..I saw how his hands were shaking.

Put yourself in his place, how would you feel?

That scene tore me up, the one thing he didnt expect was forgiveness, understanding..her mother saying their only regret was that they could not be there for HIM. Urianger was always reclusive, quiet, withdrawn, holding it all in, grieving in private..he had no way of knowing how much her parents loved him as well.

That scene touches on something I know well: survivor guilt.

Elpis. Maybe the whole time travel bit could've been handled better such as the build up and reasoning, but the actually content and story within Elpis? No, that's perfect the way it is.

Besides I love Emet.

Visiting Garlemald was amazing, and I LOVED Julus.

Also Elpis ;w; Elpìs was simply magical, and built on a premise that already has an emotional tie with the player, so it's hard to not get feels there.

I must add that I was also pleasantly surprised at a certain night, when someone knocks on your door and the game lets you choose who it is. I thought that was such an amazing detail! Like a way to acknowledge your personal headcanon as a bit more canon. I wish for more details like that!

In any case, Endwalker was full of wonderful moments. I really enjoyed this expansion and found it mind blowing.

Too many thing i loved in this expansion, it would be easier to point out 1 thing i didn't liked : The lack of stakes for the main NPC, this game need to take our heart, stab it, stomp it into pulp, gather the remnant and put it back into our chest.

For the sake of being on topic though : The awlward meal and body possession part was awesome.

The salt

In From the Cold. I felt it was a tense look into just how overpowered the WoL really is compared to generic soldiers. Felt like a genuine "oh crap" moment, and a chance to show that we're still the hero trying our hardest even without all of our power.

Odd as it feels to say it, Zenos. As anyone who's seen any of my many many comments on him before can attest, I really don't like him, but EW actually put some exploration into his character. And not by some tired "oooh, but he had a tragic childhood!" nonsense; by doubling down on his self-absorbed sociopathy and forcing him to take a look at it. The fact that he doesn't get a redemption arc is also a plus; not everyone can be redeemed, after all.

While Elpis as a whole was a bit of a mess, it was nice to actually get to see the Ancients and learn about how they were as actual people, rather than just through Emet-Selch's rose-tinted nostalgia goggles.

Well, as an Ancient fan, I sure had my heart taken out, stabbed and stomped into a pulp, but the remnants are still scattered. My WoL clearly handled everything better than I did.

But, yes, how wonderful nobody died. (:

I think best part is the Hildibrand quest and Elpis.

The entirety of the Ultima Thule sequence. From beginning to end, you feel real emotion and when the song fully kicks in, your emotions get even stronger especially with that final walk up the crystal pathway. It was just awesome. I’ve never felt so much emotion in a game ever.

I was going to retire from this game once I finished the story, but I really like the Moon, Elpis & Ultima Thule zones so much and playing as a Reaper, I couldn’t just quit. It’s been fun. Inventory issues has limited what I can do in game, though.
