Take responsibility in WHAT WAY?!?!? Simply advertising as 18+ ain't enough for folks here clearly. And outside of that there is literally no other way to insure anything. You're talking in circles with no actual solution.

Most here (from what I've read) aren't just hopping in and erping nor do any seems to be trying to meet minors. I think erp in most cases is as responsible as it can be. And the public stuff that's seen gets handled accordingly

Get proof of age, maybe? You would get carded at a strip club, why not at least try for some sort of equivalent and exercise your best judgment based on the response? I'm not accusing anyone of trying to meet minors, I'm saying that those engaging in ERP should take steps to cover themselves in case they get put in that kind of situation, and any sort of effort whatsoever put in to verifying is better than "well if they lie about their age oh well".

Get proof of age...so you honestly expect players to show other players ID cards...even just showing a date of birth isn't fail proof because it could easily be someone else's ID. So it can still come down to being lied to. Being real here that seems more an invasion of privacy if anything.

And do you truly think folks dont already feel folks out by talking to them before they engage? I highly doubt people just see miqos and go "I begin to carress your hair" my dude. Come on now.

Personally I say if you have an issue with how folks conduct themselves while not being able to give a real solution it's time to put your focus elsewhere.
