That's because something like that would be performative, not actually useful. Age gates on websites are worthless. How many kids say "Oh damn, there's an age gate here. I guess I can't get to the site." versus lying and saying their age is whatever is needed?

This, seriously this. It's so freaking tiring whenever twitter crowd and alike pulls out "Think of the children" card. Listen up folks it's parents responsibility to protect their children and make them aware of potential dangers and how to avoid them. No one else (especially strangers over the internet) has any obligation to do it for them.
