That’s not what the law says: it’s stupid adults in the game who are responsible for their own actions. Letting your 13 yr old kid play a game advertised as 13+ is not illegal while for an adult to engage in certain ERP activities with a minor can have various legal repercussions depending on the jurisdiction.

Also it is against the ToS.

No. You are wrong. It is impossible for a parent to follow what their kid does 24/7 even moreso to sit beside a 15 yr old to check his every movement in game. It would also be very unhealthy and could even be consider child abuse.

On the other hand, no matter if you like it or not, you are the adult playing the game and you are responsible for what you do online. It your life so boring that you have to have virtual sex with pixelized bunnies and cats? (And let’s not talk about lalas because that’s another can of worms).

It is irrelevant. The game is advertised 13+ and you can reasonably expect interacting with minors.

Let's be real here, M rated games don't keep children away from playing them. So even then folks who want to do adult things are still at risk of doing that with minors. There is no real solution to your qualms outside of outright banning it fullsale online.

I don't think the real concern is about minors when it comes to xiv. I think this has to do with folks seeing erpers as incels, degenerates n low life's and they don't want those folks associated with their game.

ERP is a sexual interaction which minors are not allowed to engage in. Y'shtola naked wrapped in a towel is a sexual theme there is a difference. Dont act like you dont know the difference either its waste your time and mine.

There are games that go full on no holds bar mature but you would not enjoy them as you pointed out. Age of Conan is balls to the walls mature but its medieval fantasy/survival which does not sound like your cup of tea.

age of conan is fine, however you have to pay for server keep it up and get like mind ppl your legitly putting in 96 hours just to even get it set up to start doing stuff on... Yes i love it and own the game but


and server for conan exile gets expensive, not counting its buggy and takes alot of modding to make effective

I understand your frustrations, but I wouldn't count on FFXIV becoming a rated M game. ERP all you like, but it's best to keep it in private. On this game, at least. Plus, I doubt they would make new servers for 18+, especially since underage players could easily lie about their age to access these areas. It would also be a PR mess for SE. They would lose more from pulling such a move than they would gain.
I wish you good luck on finding your kinky, child free paradise, though! (I genuinely mean that.)
