Dropping by to tell people in here to check their kids search history because odds are you're already too late on keeping them protected from sexual things.
Time to realize this isn't the 80s or 90s anymore and kids are exposed to sexual content on the regular via YouTube and other platforms.
Instead of trying to stop places from having sexual content, do your job as a parent and put up parental blocks on websites. Install a keylogger on your kids computer and check it every week or two to see what they're typing to people or in their search bar. If you're that concerned about it, take the steps needed to keep your kids away from stuff you don't want them to see.
It is not our job to babysit your kids. It is not Square's job to babysit your kids. That's YOUR job.

Correct. However, as adults, it IS our responsibility to act accordingly around random strangers on the internet, especially in a setting intended for teens/young adults. Even if said strangers are deceptive about their age, that doesn't matter much, if at all, to law enforcement. So, it is probably best to avoid engaging in various..."activities" with random people, but I know that logic doesn't always prevail since a fair amount of people don't think with their big head.Dropping by to tell people in here to check their kids search history because odds are you're already too late on keeping them protected from sexual things.

See, I'd agree but as someone who was once a teenager and had internet access, my parents wouldn't go and hunt down people that I flirted with or roleplayed with sexually. They'd put it on me to not engage with strangers on the internet and to act my age.Correct. It's a two way street. You absolutely cannot control what people outside of your own family or household do. So, if your kid runs into someone who offers them ERP, you should educate them to say no and walk away instead of engaging.
Worry about what you can control rather than what you can't. Sexual content will exist no matter what, wherever you go on the internet that isn't an educational website made for those under the age of ten. Parents need to do their job and have conversations with their children about how to act appropriately online and how to recognize places that they shouldn't be engaging in.

My point still stands. You were a teenager once with internet access. And? So was I. I am an adult now, and so I must handle myself like one.See, I'd agree but as someone who was once a teenager and had internet access, my parents wouldn't go and hunt down people that I flirted with or roleplayed with sexually. They'd put it on me to not engage with strangers on the internet and to act my age.

All I'm saying is the game has a lot of ERP in it that won't go away. Even if its taken out of the game, people will just keep doing it through Discord. You can't stop people from wanting to be sexual online, it's just literally impossible. All you can control, as a parent, is your own kids internet habits and what they have access to.
Adults should absolutely do their due diligence in avoiding interacting with minors but parents can also limit this by educating their kids on places they shouldn't be visiting online or installing parental blocks to physically keep them away from them.
It's a two way street. Trying to babyproof the internet or video games is something that just won't happen. If you want that, set up parental controls.

You should not stalk your child. Putting up a personal surveilance state in your home is not going to make you child trust you.Dropping by to tell people in here to check their kids search history because odds are you're already too late on keeping them protected from sexual things.
