Square will not purge erp they will face such a massive backlash that it would be entertaining to watch. Rp/ERP has gotten progressively popular over the years now more than ever. It would not be a lie to say there are more people who are into rp/erp than there are those who are into savage and high end raiding its a big part of the game for people the amount of nsfw venues prove it. For square to try and purge erp all hell would break loose you think I may be joking I would not be surprised if people started to massive ddos square on a daily basis and more which would hurt the company and there profits.

Honestly as a child with extremely strict and abusive parents that adore to poke their nose in whatever I'm doing (past 23 at this point), it's dumb to see people saying overly nosy parents will keep kids away from sexual content. They'll just grow the animosity between their kid and them even more. Leave the kid to find out what's up by themselves no matter what. No, I'm not asking people to expose children to such stuff. I'm just saying that there's quite a few people in here who support being super heavy-handed to their kids with little thought. Do better.

Seems you're coming from a place of bias. No smart parent is going to just let their kid run free and explore stuff on their own. Thats how kids meet predators. Sorry bit I'd rather be an overly nosey parent than be lax asf if those were the only 2 options. Your situation des not reflect every single one

I feel like if people really want to advertise their ERP venues, they should be shunted off to a separate category where only accounts which are over the age of 18 are allowed to access. Otherwise, there will always be the risk of minors who get curious and enter such venues by faking their age. Thoughts?

ID. You know this game is populated by minors, it is your responsibility to make sure you don’t ERP with little Timothy. If not, find another place. This is not a strip club where they verify the age at the entrance and where you can reasonably expect people to be adults.

Is that game really populated by THAT MANY minors though? Sorry but I highly doubt it. And sorry but there is no ID verification when it comes to these things. So by your logic ERP as a whole and I guess by proxy anything sexual needs to leave the game because "think of the kids".

I believe there was an eastern gaming company that made players send in their IDs because they didn’t want men playing as females. Sorry but I’m not giving my ID to any gaming company
I don’t understand why people want more policing and less freedoms. I believe in regards to many games allowing those under a certain age, that an adult needs to make the account (a minor cannot) and if a minor plays, then an adult must be present.

Many interactions can’t be policed by the ESRB, especially if online. If people want to get their rocks off, there are tons of eastern games that allow that as well as some western ones.

Personally I don’t care. I’ve been a part of ERP myself. There is nothing wrong with it. If a minor lies to do it (saying they are over 18) whelp, then blame it on the parent/adult that wasn’t there to monitor.
