The worst part of the story to me was the bizarre insistence that genocide is acceptable and necessary so long as it benefits the protagonists directly.

Yes, that's been made very clear over hundreds of posts in several threads.
That doesn't change the fact there were, for some of us at least, moments that were enjoyable.
Literally nobody implied here or ever that their opinion is the one of the majority, yet every single one of those thread have people like you who comes screaming inane stuff like "know that you're the minority, MINORITY. YOUR OPINION DON'T MATTER REEEEE". It's tiring and it's something this community really likes to do. Hrothgar players are all very used to that kind of defense whenever they voice their complaints. No the worst part about Endwalker is threads like this and the crew that thinks their view of the xpac represents what everyone thinks. Sorry to break it to you but many of enjoyed the story and think it's at least on a par with Shadowbringers.
If we need anything if for mods to consolidate these threads into one.
We're not the majority. We know. Still our opinion, like anyone else's, has value and deserve to be told. If you don't like it having opinion different than yours being broadcasted, just go to Twitter or Reddit. I'm sure you'll find a safe place for you somewhere.
Why do you even care btw? People not liking the story doesn't invalidate your opinion on it (and the reverse is true). It's a very insecure way of thinking.

I had two problems with End walker. Meteion and nihilism. Both were boring/too edgy. Boo hoo, there is no objective meaning to life, so die then, don't mess it up for the rest of us that want to create meaning.

This. The double standard between Ascians and Venat (even Hermes) was so jarring. It seems like anything bad that happens to the Ancients was deserved, but if it happens to the sundered it's an unforgivable atrocity. Even the Omega quests didn't do enough to alleviate that.
I don't know how this got past their ethics department. Only in FFXIV are the people responsible for the eradication of their race (or near enough to it) considered to have a point or be a heroine for it.
People generally don't comment on something when they're satisfied with a product. Game development and just technical fields are very thankless in this regard. I like many others love Endwalker, honestly. We just don't feel obligated to make threads on it.I agree, actually. Whilst I see the points of those who disliked Endwalker, the most disappointing aspect of this for me personally is that there is almost no 'positive' discussion about it anywhere here.
There are what? Two? Three? Long running threads with replies numbering in the hundreds but I've seen nowhere to discuss any positives.
...Until someone complains about the product, at which point the people who are "satisfied" crawl out of the woodworks to hijack a thread for arguing. Happens every time.
Great looking zone and music, but yeah, that was the most predictable plot in the history of plots. Winning through the "power of friendship" is honestly getting old at this point.
+1 endwalker msq is trash and I wish I never experienced it
