The female DRG AF belly window needs to be closed

Please close the female DRG AF's belly window, SE. It's been ridiculous for long enough, and now it's just become fodder for people that think the female DRK AF is going to be just as bad or even worse.

Fodder for idiots you mean. DRG AF is literally the only AF gear that is even slightly different between Male and Female.

Know what the difference is? The Male DRG wears a chainmail undershirt. The hole is still there. That is literally the only difference.

I fail to understand these people who think that of all the Jobs we have, 1 has a TINY difference and that means DRK will be a plate bikini for females. (Its not like WAR/PLD females don't already glamor bikinis onto their plate anyways. lol)

To be honest, I'm not really against the window (or for it, for that matter). I was just disappointed that after wearing so many nice types of scale-mail while leveling the DRG AF took away one of the biggest things I liked about scale armors.

The hole being there makes sense when you consider what a DRG does, and when you look closely at the armor itself.

Zoom in on it, you will notice that the area surrounding the hole is ribbed, which is in turn connected to a chain 'shirt' before going up to the shoulder area. A Job that jumps a lot would need a lot of flexibility in the stomach region. In my opinion, the ribbed armor and the hole reflects that.
The leveling scale mail armors are similar in that they appear to be quite flexible. So it really isn't such a weird thing.

I'm not concerned about how it works, I just liked the way the stomach armor looked. >_>

I'm all for gender equality when it comes to gear where appropriate. No "buts" attached. Matching the female variant of DRG AF to the male variant would be a good example of that.

Don't forget... DRG isn't meant to tank. DRK is. So, I doubt they'll have any really revealing legitimate pieces of armor for DRK. If they do, I'll be surprised. People forget how restricted tanks used to be with appearance -- before glamour, that is. Remember the tin can darklight gear, or the allagan or even high allagan gear? Yeah, some pieces had a chain or scale 'skirt', but that's actually a legitimate armor type.

The armor is identical for both genders, with the exception of the Male one having an undershirt. That is literally, in every sense of the word, the only difference. The hole exists for both genders.

I'd like to see the addition of a toggle that allows you to switch between models on gear that is different on male and female characters. I wouldn't mind seeing that stomach hole, or even the generic 'kecks' style pants with the short-shorts under the chaps on a male character...and one of the things really stopping me from rolling a female alt is knowing that there is no escape from the miniskirts.

But then it's not identical, it's different, which is the opposite of identical.

The hole in DRG armor is what lets all the magic damage through
