Obvious trolling aside, I think hyur are a nice option for those who like to play a race that is well rounded and fits almost every job concept (I play almost all jobs equally so that is a very important part for my character to fit into all of them). I just prefer the safe all-rounder route in that case.

For my personal taste at least, I found eleezen too lanky especially their necks, gear on lalafell just looked LQ, too stretched with low textures on Roes, the aura hip and default stance I couldn't get past, the cramped catboi hands I just can'tget over and hunchback hroth I felt bad at their customization options...

The only real contender being closest to hyur is bunboi and they mostly have the aesthetic of emo/kpop idol which just isn't my personal style.

(I could go through all the female versions but after 8+ years of playing, your glamour game usually leans towards one gender at this point and it's just very hard to switch...)

This. I vacillate between midlanders and au ra, as au ra are closer to the buffer body type I like and they have nice faces, but there's some design quirks that can become offputting. I usually love playing elves, and because elezen have design issues, I was hoping they'd make male Viera into a decent wood elf type option, but I'm not happy with their facial hair options (or lack thereof), and the weird height limit. If highlanders had better facial customisation options and smoother animations, I'd consider one, but as it stands, I have 0 regrets playing a midlander, especially with the stubblelander option. We'll see what the future graphics upgrades bring.

And of course the best reason...

Hard agree. Hroth are straight furrybait. I came to this game for an epic adventure not to watch some 400+pound man roleplay a buff furcovered lionman in a spedo because hes too socially awkward to just go be a real bear IRL.
