GOAT HYUR!! HAHAHAHA

GOAT HYUR!! HAHAHAHA
this was criticism?Incase you haven't noticed already....
This is a troll Post. But even then, If the cap fits. Wear it.
Criticism from anybody is valid criticism because that's how a game is improved and worked upon.
This entire thread though goes to show just how Vitriolic some people are over someone having an ounce of criticism, and whilst some people may feel that they are justified... Keep in mind you would get back the same criticism from others if you made a post of 'Delete X Race'.
Why should we deal with getting troll posts over our race if it's not fine to do the same back? A little Hypocritical No? This isn't about taking sides, but this just shows how horrible people can be to others for having a different opinion... In my idea, you should all be ashamed of yourselves. You're all acting like someone quite literally pissed in your cereal.
Infact, this thread goes to show the average reaction to someone having criticism. It's to be bombarded with vitriol and disgust. No wonder people avoid the forums, it's a bloody wildfire here.

i feel like every thread somehow turns into a viera or hrothgar thread. how did this troll post even turn into that lol

Viera players as a whole didn't spam their livestreams, that was some male viera supporters, and probably some trolls as well.
Yes, I, among others, were some of the first to post in support of updates for BOTH viera and hrothgar. There are a few megathreads now instead of the scattered threadspam, because we were here suggesting players compile their feedback in these supposed "hrothgar threads".. I am pretty sure I am even in the OP of one of them, where I compiled threads for the megathread!! I was a part of the conversation BEFORE these threads popped up, and I was there at the start of many these supposed "hrothgar" threads, that's why I reiterate that point.
Us female viera players (former and current) got pretty much NOTHING out of male viera being added to the game! Many of the now male viera players weren't even playing female viera during ShB! I never wanted male viera, I only wanted it for the players who wanted it EVENTUALLY.
Here's the thing about male viera... and this is a hard truth to swallow, but male viera are significantly more popular than hrothgar. Especially in Japan. This is a fact. Here I will quote something as one reference from many years back:
https://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/threads/46936
Keep in mind, this old poll was done with wolfmen in mind. Which, from what I can tell, are a fairly popular aesthetic - also, not ronso or hrothgar.Mammalian beastmen (ex.) wolfmen, gnolls, etc.) JP 3.3% NA 7.3% GB 7.1% FR 6.2% DE 9.9%
Mammalian demi-beastmen (ex. a rabbit-eared race such as the Viera from FFXII, etc.) JP 24.9% NA 27.7% GB 26.1% FR 26.6% DE 31.0%
Regardless of how male viera feedback was given, it is undeniable that they would be a popular inclusion, especially in the developers home country. I wouldn't doubt many developers themselves wanted male viera, hence them supposedly working on them in their free time. The inclusion of male viera was easy.
Please don't misunderstand, which many seem to do, I do not personally agree with male hrothgar being ignored due to popularity. As I have reiterated in many, many posts: Male hrothgar were added to the game, the players deserved to be heard, and their race be given attention.
I started turning my back, like many others, when personal insults starting going around. I have been put down for playing both miqo'te and au ra, or my opinion didn't matter because I was a viera player, etc.. I don't remember ever PERSONALLY putting down anyone like that. I was trying to be constructive in this thread. I do not understand how suggesting hrothgar players go about giving their feedback in a more constructive manner is even a bad thing!
That post is in regards to hrothgar getting their fixes in 6.2. Context matters here. This is in reference to Yoshida's response stating how it would take a significant amount of time to do hairs without the "hiding their ears under the hair" trick. Yes, I was also being sarcastic. I can be sarcastic, sometimes often, my bad. Especially when the tone of responses changes for the worse.
I can't believe the "hrothgar is a trigger word" JOKE is being brought up. I was JOKING, it's sarcasm. I was trying to imply I didn't want to get in an argument about hrothgar again. I don't remember telling hrothgar players to quit. I remember stating a couple times something about voting with your wallet, but even if hrothgar players did, I doubted there would be enough of them, or SE would care. I don't think I ever said to give it up, at least not seriously, if I did it was also most likely sarcasm. I am pretty sure I suggested the OPPOSITE in reply to users like Adamantini, for that matter.
Also, again, the devs BARELY did anything for female viera, we got some copy and paste shared hairs that largely don't even look good. If we were going to get shared hairs, we wanted quality, and we didn't even expect to get those in the first place, we expected racial unique hairs! Hrothgar also got low quality shared hairs, but their custom faces turned out to be more of an issue for SE. Viera lucked out by their headshape, nothing more.

Yes please, I played Ratonga in EQ2 and it's honestly the only furry race I tolerate.
Rats all the way!
Back to the topic, what a low quality angry bait, OP.
You said it's just trolling but it's clearly more like "that kid told me I suck so I'm gonna tell other kids they suck too!! (hope mom doesn't find out)"
