Delete Hyurs

I play a Hyur because it's the only acceptable race for a man like me (Roegadyn are pretty cool too unless it's a female character who are errk). The other races are vile and pathetic especially the Lalas and Hrothgar who are abominable. However I consider it acceptable for a woman to play a female cat or a female rabbit. Back in the day on FF 11 you could only choose the female gender for female cats and that was great.

I really wish SE would come up with better stuff like choosing to be an undead or a skeleton or an Iksar / Troll / Dragon (not like the ones in wow a real Dragon)

Why do we have Hyurs? What's with you guys designing fantasy worlds and thinking we want to play boring humans, all bland and featureless? For an anime-esque game, this is frankly disappointing! I've seen squids with more personality and facial expressions in real life than Hyurs. What even is this, a pale attempt to mimic a human being? Step it up, please.

By this 'logic':
- Lord of the Rings should have been about Elves, Dwarfs, orcs and Hobbits only
- Star Trek should be about Aliens only and should exclude humans
- Dragonball Z/Super should remove the basically (yeah, I know they have tails) human identical Saiyans and Saiyan/Human hybrids
- Star Wars should delete most of the Jedi/Sith

And I could continue - but point is, whilst I'll acknowledge that there is a troll element to this thread, it is nonetheless a stupid 'suggestion' on several levels.

I mean all other races are far from FINAL fantasy too! Delete all humanoid races, replace them with gelatinous blobs of primordial goo wearing magical diapers that shoot rainbow ponies at their enemies!

It's not like they have any personality, really. Miqo'te? Expressive. Au Ra? Creative. Viera? Mystical. Roegadyn? Different, I dig it, we need stuff that takes a spin on being human. Lalafell? It just screams "fantasy". Hrothgar? Top. Notch. An actual animal race, that's as anime fantasy as it could get.

Hyur's personality tends to be along the lines of MANIFEST DESTINY for just about every other culture they encounter. Leave my heritage alone! The Elezen ain't gonna subjugate themselves! That being said, I see me a Hrothgar to mount on the cabin wall.

On a side note, I'm really enjoying all the troll threads appearing this morning, it's fun.
