Didn't really change much on Balmung. Be it 100+ people on the lotto or 100+ bots standing at a sign post. It's pretty much the same. And after the first 2 weeks, everything is full up again so still same chance to get a house for me, 0. Only thing that will solve any of this would be instanced housing with yards. I don't really care for the "neighborhood" aspect considering, the neighborhoods are completely empty 99.9% of the time anyway.

You people really haven't got a clue. The system was so bad that a lot of people chose to not participate in it, how is that a sign of a good system, how is that fair? This whole elitist take that spamming a placard is something to be proud of and people who didn't get a house with the system were just lazy is insane. Yes, the odds were better with the placard spamming, only if you chose to spam it for hours on end but that's where the positives end and the long list of cons start.

Not all plots opened during "prime time" not everyone could play the game during "prime time", how does that fit in your flawless logic? You're just ignoring all the negatives people have listed here to fit your narrative of a system that was in your eyes perfect and everyone complaining about it was just lazy. You can't hyper focus on one aspect of a system and just ignore everything else, though I guess it seems to be going great for you as you still think you're somehow correct in your delusional opinion.

Placard clicking didn't suck that much tbh. I got my personal without botting, and honestly there was no need to camp plots for several hours like people say, as long as you were informed enough about it. Sure it was shit, but lottery is worse. Those who REALLY wanted a house and were willing to put some effort had a huge advantage.
There's only one real fix to this now: instanced housing.

No matter where I went; there were so many people with that busy icon up doing the auto-clicker. I could never get a house until the lottery came out because it was unfair to players who didn't cheat. Including the quality of life trying to click that placard for hours was awful. The lottery was good for THOSE reasons, but it did not fix all of the problems. Just hope that Island Sanctuary will satisfied these needs.

If you clicked it for multiple hours at once, the problem was you, the only time you had to click was prime time which consists of 2 hours.

First, prime time is 4 hours, not 2. Second, prime time depends on the accuracy of volunteer sweepers who sweep housing wards hourly to confirm when a plot was relinquished, and quite often there's a large gap between sweeps and as a result, players have to camp more than 4 hours for fear of losing a chance at a plot becoming available before the estimated prime time.

Please at least keep your facts straight in your bias for the accursed placard system which no one here actually is in favor of.

You were rewarded for dedicating, and before anyone riffs on ppl who used scripts to do it, know that these same people ran a risk of being exploited by retainers selling trash goods and ludicrous prices. This new system demands no effort and gives everybody horrendous chances. I called it, I said before it went live that this system would be trash.
