Here on Odin the majority of small plots in the ishgard fc only wards are still empty. I get the suspicion that FCs just dont want small plots.

I see a medium plot in Empyrium Ward… 23 or 24 I don’t quite remember. Empty, but clicking at the placard it tells me that the plot is available to private buyer BUT it’s not free to bid at the moment… am I missing any additional announcements recently?

Probably someone transferred and it's not in the current lotto pool. Could be a transfer to a new server which happened during the bid period.

How the stupid ward housing works is the primary reason my interest in housing begins and ends with my apartment/fc room. The mere fact that your house can just get handed to someone else if you have to take a break from the game is asinine. This doesn't even take the unlikely acquisition into account. All that time and resources, just gone forever for no other reason than life getting in the way.

Attaching FOMO to a core game feature is by far the dumbest design decision they could have ever made for this game. If you manage to kill interest in housing for an avid housing designer, you've seriously screwed up.

I'd get an apartment if it had the same amenities as a private plot- which is larger item space, bottom as well as top floors, larger item storage and a yard (garden included bc I do gardening)
Housing should not be this frustrating to deal with in any mmo

I hope new wards will be released again very soon with the majority being private plots over FC plots

The lottery system is so much worse than the old clicking system. I am trying to get a Plot every round since this system started and I wasn’t lucky. What makes it worse is the separation of private vs fc wards. And the fact that you can only bid on one plot instead of as many as you could afford putting the deposit down. And the time sink one cycle needs is aweful. SE could have just make it one day bidding next day getting for example. Or bidding on all plots you want you can only get one at the time anyways. Also it doesn’t help at all that the housing evictions are on hold since two years with only one short break if I remember. Ye there are world events that some ppl can’t log on … so what. Others are online and play and pay their sub and would love to have a house whilst the people who haven’t logged on for month just don’t get evicted. Just empty the plots of players that haven’t been in their houses for 30 days change the lottery cycle to 24 hrs bid and 24 hrs claim and there is some plots available always.
