weird ingame freezes

hi everyone, i've been getting these weird freezes ingame. they'll happen where the game just stops but the audio keeps playing, nothing else lags or anything. even other programs running just fine in the background, it's just the game where the image locks up. it happens for maybe 1-5 seconds then it's back to normal. it feels like it's random, so i can't really say when or why they'd happen

i've tried restoring the game through the launcher, and that fixed it for a few days but i noticed it happening again earlier in a dungeon in the middle of a pull. wondering if there'd be any ways for me to further diagnose this?

I hear from a lot of people that they're having DirectX related issues. I had the same problem. Sometimes it froze a few seconds and I could start playing again. Other times I got the "A Fatal DirectX error has occurred (11000002)" error message and the game terminated (very fun as a white mage).

Anyway, I installed any windows update left in the queue, and updated my graphics card driver and the issue seems to be resolved.

very late but i managed to avoid the freezes by playing in borderless window and not tabbing out. if i tab out, i get at least one freeze before it goes back to normal. tried keeping my drivers and windows up to date since but i’m not sure if that helped at all.

quick update to say that not tabbing out isnt a solution LMAO got another freeze last night so i guess ill just try and put up with it until a solution’s figured out “orz
