I Never said you shouldn't call out someones flaws.I've never liked this argument. "It's not as bad as x, y, or z, so you can't call out its flaws." That doesn't mean that Yoshi gets a pass when he screws something up. And the more people try to use this excuse to give Yoshi free passes, the more you're going to have people dislike Yoshi because of how easy he has it despite screwing things up.
I said, he's much better at what he does, in my opinion, than other people who hold similar positions. simple as
I told you: search what happened on April 1st. Literally do the job yourself, I gave you the key. From a Viera pov, I get the demand for hairstyles, hats, ears that move and the lack, but show me where he says "too hard". Also show me this amateur who can roll out in one night the makings of a playable race and it fit into this game flawlessly. Maybe I missed that bulletin, but this is exactly how assumptions start and things get misguided, misinterpreted and spread. How can I get informed, as you say, when statements like these are made and far too often? I feel it should be base on what we know as fact, when we give our feedback, not what we assume we know. So please inform me.
If YOU are going to talk about a topic, then I expect YOU to know what you're on about, and not generalize it out of "Oh that's what I think happened". There are easily three threads on the matter, one of which has a parroted answer by a Community Dev. That's the answer you're going to want.
I shouldn't be the one informing you. I've been writing on this topic and explaining so many people like you what the deal actually is. I'm resigned to thinking you guys just don't give a darn. I've written what Hrothgar wanted and how we got to that conclusion so many times, if you yourself haven't grasped it, it's your own fault. My job isn't to educate you, merely point to the direction you need.
Also, protip, sis? You're not a Hrothgar. You are a Viera. What happened to us was something that didn't happen to you. Maybe next time you stop lumping the two of us as if we share the problem. We're not on the same boat at all. Hrothgars even feel like feedback from Hrothgar players was ignored and subsequently mistaken for Viera feedback, something that we alerted to in said threads. So don't expect you yourself to know what happened to us, nor what it was Hrothgar players discussed. Because to my knowledge, it didn't concern you and very narrowly bled into Viera threads. It was just the one megathread, and barely even that at all.
You do the work.
Because I've been talking about this so often it's frankly just annoying. Stuff is in these forums, you do the work yourself, like many people had to.

I don't particularly care for him as a person, I care about the work he and the dev team puts out.
I don't know the guy. I don't have a parasocial relationship with him unlike majority of the playerbase (which is super weird btw, stop it, he doesn't know you and you don't know him).
I only care about if his decisions and the dev team's work will actually make me happy as a paying customer, and the fact that I feel like I'm being heard if it isn't.
Right now I'm more unhappy than happy about the state of the game.
Criterion dungeons are a good step in the right direction content wise, but the job design and combat in PvE has taken a nose dive ever since ShB, and I don't feel like I'm being heard.
It's also exacerbated by the fact that my feed back is being pushed back by people who are pretty much in love with him akin to a streamer and their fanbase, which is again super fucking weird.
The fact that there are people who are very much "OMG THE GAME'S FINE HE CAN DO NO WRONG" to literally anything negative said about the game, as if Yoshi-P and the dev team are their own flesh and blood is very weird, cult like and disturbing.
This really isn't the strong argument you think it is. Reddit is a hivemind, but it's not always a negative one. Not even close. If you followed any game, live action series, anime or even political subreddit, the opinion always tend towards one direction. The Star Wars prequel subreddit tends overwhelmingly towards positive, but will you say that they were good or popular movies with the masses? If you want another example, try to say that you didn't like the messy Wano arc in One Piece's mainsub and see how it goes.
Some communities even have very distinct positive and negative subreddits (even heard of r/gameofthrones vs r/freefolk?)
So the fact that EW is popular on FFXIV's main sub means absolutely nothing.

Man, this reminds me of a time months ago when I posted on one of the threads in r/ffxiv about my dissatisfaction with the Endwalker story. I was instantly at like -60 downvotes, my comment was buried, and angry fans were typing out long paragraphs to me laced with profanity. The FFXIV subreddit is truly something else. This really isn't the strong argument you think it is. Reddit is a hivemind, but it's not always a negative one. Not even close. Wonder how many people are gonna get a two week vacation when the mods finally get around to this thread.
Which, granted, could be anytime between right now and three weeks from now. The suspense is killing me.
Nobody will. I think the post will get dropped then a subsequent one will follow..
"ThE mOdErAtOrS aRe SuPpReSsInG fEeDbAcK."
(It's an innocent thread I promise.)
They have, of late, actually been closing threads without even leaving the thread readable (full purge), such as the recent "What's your unpopular opinion on the game" or the like thread.
Given the objects of those purges, I can't say I'm too worried, but there is a bit of suppression, for better or worse.
