This. Most of the gameplay complexity aren't exploited to it's utmost limits by the vast majority because they couldn't care less how well or proper they play a Job. As long as they play it good enough for the content they do, which by in large statistically is anything but high-end Raiding <- that makes up only 5% at best of the total Game activity.

Casual majority who don't with to learn a job nor master it will bash any button in any order no matter how simple or how complex, won't matter - as long as it performs however bad they do on it with a lot of fancy graphical particle effects.

I agree and this shouldn't even be a debate, that you can have both a friendly skill-floor and barrier of entry to the game ( which atm sits at login in and don't die at anything, just exist ) and have high skill-ceiling for Job and Skill expression for passionate players that love some execution difficulty, even before High-end raiding.

But to many, the perfect world of FFXIV is summed up as
    • Don't complain
    • Don't ever question the Dev's or Yoshi P
    • FFXIV is perfect
    • There's no war in Ba Sing Se

The biggest L here? is that the live letter confirmed to doubters like me as a Samurai main that feedback does indeed get ignored. So any other main o f any job who will get a future change? Or heck even anything at all like say PVP and housing? fill in anything, feedback gets ignored, keep that in mind

You telling me it takes a strong gut to have everything dumbed down, not have your intelligence respected and like it is hilarious to me.
I'm of the opinion that class designs should always be designed around the highest tier players because regardless of what you do to the designs the casuals and people who play improperly to begin with are not going to notice a difference and never play it right no matter what. No reason to shaft players who care for players who would never really notice.

Hagakure....Also kaiten was extremely essential to the rotation. The removal of it has mostly ruined the job.

Not everyone shares the same enthusiasm & we all have different approaches free to go along or not bother at all.

Minority? You’re going way off stream on this, then again you’ve labelled it as just a reminder; your words not mine’s.

Isn’t that part of change? Be it in your favour or anyone’s its not an end factor to all unless you put it that way & just remain upset all along (See Celes & Rensu for instance).

I’ve said enough & glad this approach was not reverted nor change, SAM still stands strong, adapt to it or roll with another job.

It is what it is now & the live letter just concluded that.

Maybe we just need to meme it all to hell and back on Twitter. They apparently look at social media, idk.

This is pretty disappointing to wake up to.

I woke up to this liveletter like a morning cup of coffee only to find that it was a cup of chocobo dung instead. Here I was thinking this would be a nice happy Friday

They've never done a spell revert since ff14 existed, other than energy drain return and miasma II for scholar in stormblood because he had missing mechanics in his kit,
for samurai kaiten is not essential to the rotation of the samurai, so don't kid yourself, kaiten will never come back.

Your usage of the word " Essential " is used a lil loosely, it would really help what you mean by it if you could specify it little. To many SAM mains it didn't improve the gameplay, nor did it Fix anything if that's the argument point you're trying to make. Neither was their excuses to justify it's removal or any other 6.1 Samurai changes if you think it's all about Kaiten and Kaiten alone

As for returning spells coming back? Even someone like me who has not played early enough during the period it happened, will know of " Hagakure's " removal and return. Here's the link source " LiveLetter Part LIII " stating it's spell revert. Please be a little more accurate with your statements.

What I mean is that they casualize all the jobs little by little since the end of haevensward, and especially since shadowbringer, there has never been a revert on the x1-x5 patches, but only on minor early exp release patch like x.05 or x.08,
It is exceedingly rare for them to reconsider their decisions.

A lot of jobs has lost precious spells, but hasn't returned, and you just have to look at the changes made to healers, tanks or even worse the latest jobs rework, to understand that they just want to casualize the game,
I understand what samourai community is pointing out, but it's absolutely all the roles that are impacted by the devs' choices to casualize ff14.

''I specify that English is not my native language, and that by default I make mistakes in the choice of words,
therefore, my choice of words should not be taken personally as negative that's not my goal.''

    ?

They brought back Hagakure, and the SAM issues we're providing feedback for are much deeper than Kaiten
