PS5 controller on PS5 console

I am absolutely at my wits end with this so posting in here to see if I can get any help.

It seems to only be an issue on FFXIV hence the reason I am posting here.

For a little while (less then a week but haven't been playing too much recently so unsure if I am only realising this is a thing now.) as I am using my PS5 controller to play the game the L2 button starts inputting without me pressing it. Resulting in difficulty playing the game. It can sometimes take a couple of hours to kick in but it starts with the L2 button inputting when I move my right analog stick left and then about half an hour after struggling to play with that happening (also as I'm trying to figure out what is wrong.) it then starts to input without me pressing anything at all. Jittering as if I am pressing the L2 button over and over again. Which I am not.

I have tested this with other games, it has no issue.
I have tested by turning off adaptive trigger sense. Does not help.
Tried turning blue tooth connection off. Nope.
Tried resetting my controller.

I am at a loss. I played the PS4 version for years and never had this issue. I also can't find anything relating to this online.

I have just purchased another controller in case this controller doesn't like FFXIV for some reason.

Wanting to see if anyone else is having these issues. Thanks
