Sage (PvP) Adjustment Suggestion - Eukrasia & Eukrasian Dosis III (QoL)

    Hey everyone,

Not sure if this belongs here or in the PvP section.

I would like to put forth a suggestion for simplification or adjustment of the Eukrasia and Eukrasian Diagnosis III skills in PvP.

Eukrasia's only purpose in Sage PvP is to initiate the conversion to Eukrasian Dosis III and its associated benefits (shield/dot).

My suggestion is that Eukrasian Dosis III just takes the place of Eukrasia due to its current use.

The stacks and cool down timer would stay the same. It would simplify the button use since this conversion is the only thing it is used for. It would save a step overall. It trades a spell for a spell so no changes to overall abilities as well.

I do realize that normal PvE Sage does get more use out of this while fitting the design of the job, and that's fair, but for PvP it seems like an extra step.

If the dev team however were to add a buff or AOE heal to Phlegma III or something else that changed with Eukrasia, I could understand keeping it as it.

Other Sage players thoughts on this for those who enjoy current PvP?

My apologies if something like this has been posted prior as a suggestion.

Slight difference with big implications for healing, shielding, and doing damage.
PVP Sage rarely uses Dosis III because it gets outshadowed by all its other high damaging skills on a low cooldown (Phlegma, Pneuma, Eukrasian Dosis III) that the main benefit of having Eukrasia is that you can pre-cast Eukrasia (pre-casting before combat or before engaging).
If you can tell, Eukrasia only lasts for 10 seconds, but it directly changes Dosis III (1.44 cast time, 2.4 sec recast) into Eukrasian Dosis III (1.5 second recast). If you can get what I mean by this, it's the difference of activating your cast 1 second faster. 1 second of difference can change a lot of things in PvP - from the chance the person gets their recuperation off,the chance a person gets CC'd in that timeframe, or the chance a person can survive because the shield gets applied just in time.

What Eukrasia allows is to break the 2.5 second GCD cast into 1 second and 1.5 second cast times. This means your burst window and your follow up healing skills activate slightly faster on the GCD if you have Eukrasia set-up. (Instead of taking 5 seconds to cast 2 Eukrasian Dosis III, you take 4 seconds).
What this actually allows is for the Sage to utilize 2 Eukrasian Diagnosis within 4 seconds instead of 5. That's a big difference due to the dynamic and fast paced nature of PvP - unlike the scripted nature of PvE.

Finally, due to how important each PvP healing skill's usage is, coupled with the nature of how Eukrasia works, you can always hold off from using Eukrasia until the last couple of seconds if you pre-cast it at an ideal time. This means you can set-up 3 Eukrasian Dosis III in a shorter time frame (which means more Eukrasian Shields and more Toxikon II bursts) - which is important for PvP since battles are much more fast paced -- so maximizing each use of Eukrasia can improve a sage's healing throughput and burst window dramatically.

If Eukrasia was removed, then you would have a 2.5 second GCD on Eukrasian Dosis III to account for the loss of the 1 second Eukrasia cast. That would mean your overall casts for Eukrasian Diagnosis would take up to 5 seconds to apply both rather than 4, making it more difficult to play and less naunced/room for optimization and adapting to fights on the fly.
