Mac Monteray 12.4 - Game freezes after only a few minutes of play

So I downloaded the new Mac launcher that was just released and encountered this problem. The launcher works fine for getting into the game, I had no issues with that, but after about five minutes of play the entire game freezes and I'm unable to do anything but force quit. I tried relogging into the game several times to see if it was a fluke but the freezing happened every time and was not caused by doing any action in particular.

Same here. After Monterey support was declared open, I finally upgraded to Monterey (12.4), then got the FFXIV launcher update. The game is unplayable with the Square launcher; it runs fine for a couple seconds after zoning in, then the display starts to stutter & freeze up at irregular intervals, until it finally freezes completely and I have to force-quit and restart. I've tried setting all the graphics options to their lowest settings, but no good. The problem persists.

Another thread from March from the Monterey support testing suggested using XIVonMac instead of the Square launcher. I'm using XIVonMac now, just to be able to play the game I'm paying for. However, the graphics are still jerky, with my framerates seemingly stuck at 30fps and lower. Under my prior Mac OS (Big Sur), I was consistently at 50fps.

In contrast, my husband is playing on an iMac running Catalina, and has no issues.

    Other details on my system:

    Macbook Pro, 15" (2018)
32 GB RAM, with 1TB storage & over 700 GB free
    2.2ghz 6core Intel i7
    Radeon Pro 560X 4GB VRAM

Any other info needed, please let me know.

Edit: so with the total lack of response from any tech support here, I've ended up downgrading back to Mac OS Big Sur 11.6.7. THIS IS NOT AN OPTIMAL SOLUTION, DEVS, as downgrading means having to go back to a prior backup and re-download/reinstall FFXIV.

When other companies say they support their product on certain OS, they actually *support* it, devs. Y'know, answer questions, figure out solutions...? We can't go to Apple with this -- FFXIV is YOUR program, not theirs. Can we get some help here?
