Is Crystaline Conflict Dead?

I've enjoyed ranked (for the most part) CC ever since it came out but now with Season 2 being relatively brand new, here I sit in a 45 minute queue on a weekend. The same was true yesterday evening for me. I highly doubt there are that many MCH queuing at the same time to cause this. What's everyone else's experience with this?

I guess it was sort of inevitable. I had a feeling this would happen for s2 because

1. Ranked play rewards arent enticing enough/incentivise players to not play for certain rewards
2. No series pass for s2 meaning no artificial fomo
3. Most people are finished with garo

And so what you see now is the "natural" playercount, which is a small number of incredibly dedicated players, much like the feast. I would expect the playercount to skyrocket in s3 when the new series pass comes out, and then die again for s4 etc.

Why play when the job changes are marginal and incorrect, the maps are unbalanced and few, the match making is abysmal and the rewards are unchanged and unworthy.

Because we didn’t get all the frames so most are purposefully down ranking to get the Diamond frame when this season is over. So many not queuing for ranked. Casual is hot though. That’s where everyone is since won’t play ranked because they don’t want the same crystal frame again.

imagine killing 5 seasons (if you first frame is crystal) to derank to get all the frames, square should just stop making pvp and spend the resources elsewhere

I just tried to do some queuing on Chaos DC and it didnt seem too bad. Certainly slower than it was before, like 5ish min per queue

More so, that you basically match with the 10-15 people that left to play the ranked.

Queues have been okay with me, but yeah the pool of people I am playing with is a bit of a bore. A lot of my favourite rivals have yet to rank back up.

It's dead as a rotting corpse, trying to rank is like hell to endure, when there are only 10-15 player only who actually bother doing ranked, and every match it's roll a dice chance, of mixing these players in both teams, now go fight good luck.

On EU Light it pops from afternoon till midnight almost non stop..
