    I agree that poison is correct, yes.

    On our real life planet at least the angelfish is seemingly only poisonous in the Queen Angelfish, and this toxin is not a venom, but a poison.

    Taking the famous Fugu fish, which are also poisonous, the toxin is tetrodotoxin, which is a result of the fish eating bacteria like Pseudoalteromonas.

    On Eorzea's star Angel fish might have developed a venom, but this would be injected through spikes not eaten. We can safely eat a scorpion or a snake's venom glands without danger, as long as our mouth doesn't have a cut the venom can enter through.
