    Daidukul still believes the Naadam has yet to take place even after it finishes.

    Daidukul's (in The Dawn Throne of The Azim Steppe) dialogue does not update to take into account that the Naadam has been finished, until the quest "Naadam" is turned in.

    After completing the Naadam, but before turning in the quest "Naadam", his dialogue is as follows:
    Daidukul
    We will be watching you and yours during the Naadam. If your men impress, we will make them ours.
    After turning in the quest "Naadam", his dialogue updates appropriately to the following (which appears to take into account that the Naadam was finished with you as the victor):
    Daidukul
    Only men may be of the Buduga. Such is the gods' will. And so we take from others fresh blood to sustain our tribe.

    Alas, as our strength wanes, so too does our ability to sustain ourselves. Alliances become necessary, such as ours with the Oronir.

    We too are "allies" now, I suppose. But who can say what the morrow will bring?
    It is weird that Daidukul still says he will be "watching you and yours during the Naadam", despite the Naadam being finished. Might I suggest having Daidukul's dialogue update earlier, so that the new "We too are "allies" now" dialogue appears immediately after finishing the Naadam, even if the "Naadam" quest is not turned in?

    Reproduction Steps
    1. Progress the Main Scenario in Stormblood until the quest "Naadam".
    2. Complete the Naadam event, but do not turn in the "Naadam" quest.
    3. Head to The Dawn Throne and speak with Daidukul. His dialogue will not have updated to reflect the completion of the Naadam.
    4. Complete the "Naadam" quest (you don't need to pick up the next quest) and return to find that Daidukul has finally updated his dialogue to account for the Naadam's completion.

    (P.S. I apologize if the Localization forum is not the appropriate forum for this, though I do believe this is something the Localization team could take care of. If this is not the appropriate forum, let me know and I'll repost it in the appropriate forum.)

    While it seems like a nice idea on the surface, it would also seem unusual to do it for just this (now quite old) quest, as this disconnect is the case in pretty much all quests from the very beginning of the game.

    Game wise it would likely need a large change over the entire game, not just this quest. First, quests would need an extra state to account for;

    * in progress,
    * finished but not handed in
    * handed in

    And all quests in the game would need to look for the new state and have a switch to the existing, or even a third set of dialogue applied to possibly multiple NPCs.

    This could involve more database space, more complexity, and it would involve going back and adding complication to the existing dialog branching logic that would need to be done to every other quest in the game, not just this one.

    It might be personal experience, but most people do seem to hand in when they finish. I wonder the worth of adding a third state to every single quest in the game to account for completed but not handed in.

    I wonder what new content would need to be cut to implement it?

    Quests do this all the time already. Character dialogue can vary at every step of a quest, if they want it to and program it to change at the right time.

    If there are disconnects of this variety across the entire game, then I would enjoy them all being fixed. However, I understand that the Localization team cannot spend all day reviewing dialogue trees when most of them will already be correct. So I opted to make a report of one such occurrence, with the idea that if the Localization team believes it necessary, they may check over the whole quest. (Even if they don't, it's still one less disconnect in the game.) Over several such reports, that would give the Localization team a list of quests with at least one known error that they can fully check over.

    But in any case, it's worth noting that Magnai (who sits right next to Daidukul) does have his dialogue change immediately after the Naadam, but before the Naadam quest is turned in. Additionally, the many townsfolk in Mol Iloh have dialogue changes at this point too, to reflect your victory in the Naadam. Thus, I would think that Daidukul's dialogue here is the result of an oversight rather than the dialogue system being unable to support it.
