I was looking at the Guinness Book of World records and the FFXIV community.

After looking at our FFXIV community of gamers, there has to be FFXIV gamers in the community including FCs that have broken these records or could easily break them if they knew.

For those that don't know how to apply for the Guinness Book of World Records (GBWR), these are the steps below:


1) Register for an account

2) You will receive an email with an activation link. Click on the link, and you will be brought to a dashboard page.

3) Click on the green ‘Apply for a record’ button.

4) Search for the record that you want to break.

5) When you find the record, click the ‘Apply Now’ button. If you cannot find the record you can apply for a new one by clicking ‘Apply for a new record title’ at the bottom of the page.

6) Complete the application form.


These steps must be done for 'New' records as well as challenging existing records.* See link below:

In addition, I would like to remind everyone that anything against Square Enix or FFXIV TOS, copyright infringements, or the like won't be entered in GBWR because those violations would be inherently against GBWR policies, that include violations of illegal activities, inappropriate/offensive, and etc (See Link Below).

Waste of time?

I'm hear to have fun playing a game, not set pointless world records.

Hopefully SE is also focused on creating a fun game and not setting pointless world records as well.

Sometime I feel like SE is one of the last gaming companies on earth who actually is still focused on creating fun games. They aren't always successful of course, but I believe the genuine effort is still there.

Hacks, Mods, and etc are not only a breach of TOS, but also a hindrance for bigger and better things.


The GWR looks at three criteria:


1) Standardized

2) Measurable

3) Everyone can do it


These mods and hacks are unwelcomed and affect the gaming community as a whole in pursuing bigger endeavors….


On a positive note, outside the TOP debacle, someone had a great idea of 'world fastest ffxiv crafter' or who can craft most unique HQ items in a minute in ff14.


It meets the 3 criteria on a Playstation 5.* If someone does pursues this, it requires 2 time keepers and 2 witnesses.

I think this is personally worth a try....

I feel that the mods are causing great harm and this is a great article about Blizzard and pursuing damages from mods.

The mods are not only hindering other legal pursuits such as GBWR, but also grave violations of copyright laws and intellectual property.


Again, the mods are unwanted for numerous reasons beyond TOS….

"First mmorpg to use mentoring system"? What?
There were MMOs from before 1.0 using a mentoring system.

Sometime I feel like SE is one of the last gaming companies on earth who actually is still focused on creating fun games. They aren't always successful of course, but I believe the genuine effort is still there.

Yeah, not many companies focus on fun games like Final Fantasy VII The First Soldier, Avengers, Babylon's Fall, Balan Wonderworld, Quiet Man and Forspoken. SE is impeccable.

We have some exceptional gamers in the FF14 community. This is just one example of one gamer on PS3 that was the first to clear FF14.

Because it meets the 3 GBWR criteria (i.e. standardized, measurable, and everyone can do it), FF14 console users are more likely to be officially amazing. I think there are a lot more FF14 console gamers that could be in the GBWR with proof from psnprofiles.com, lodestone character profile achievements (timestamped to the day), and etc.

Other great examples would be first to obtain harder Gold Saucer achievements, FATE achievements, Firmament achievements, and etc.
