That's because you were alone there... with no party... and still you got the quest... alone... There's no reason to do that other than knowing full well that that party had already formed expressly for running caravans and wanting to butt in without having formed part of the party.

It's not the same and you know it. When somebody is farming a drop that I need in the spot that I want, I look for another spot to farm. If there is no other spot, I go somewhere else close by and find something to do while I wait. Most of the time there is more than one spot that I can get the same drop. Caravan escorts on the other hand, there is room for 1 party and that's it. There is no way to reserve a spot, therefore you cannot reserve a spot, it's first come first served. When the NPC pops if you want a spot, you better be quick. It's the same with roaming NMs and the same thing with behests. If you want to join the fun, you better know how to get the claim.

This is not fair nor is it accurate. There is no reason someone should have to sit out for two or three HOURS because a pty doesn't want to share. First come first serve. Ideally you SHOULD be rotating if there are more than 8 people who wish to participate. Otherwise YOUR being the dushe. The way Behest generally works(when people used to DO behest), NPC spawns, people rush to get one of the 8 spots, pty forms from people who got a spot...and go. Everyone else? Too slow, try again next time.

This is not a leve quest, its not an instanced event, it's an open world event like behest.

Opening up the numbers to more than 8 members would be ideal, there is not even a real reason to force this to be a pty event. No one is in it for exp, in the end we just want the seals, and you don't have to form a pty to get those.

Don't try to pull that card. That's just rude gameplay.

Whining that someone beat you signing up for Caravan is like crying because you were not fast enough to get into Behest. There are not the dushe, the person bitching about it is. If you want to farm seals in a pty go do Toto Rak, Caravan is first come first serve.

Sure, it sucks you made a full party to do that, but, just like behest, first come first served. Thats how it was intended. Does that mean we have to like it? no. But its nobody's fault that its how they have to sign up for the event.

But... You understand this has nothing to do with one's full party getting into the Caravan, right? I don't mind if people are fighting over spots in the Caravan. People will get their turn, because the people who didn't get in last time can sit where the NPC spawns and get in the following time. It's made in such a way they turns can be taken. The people running it don't even have to be in a party (and I'm not even sure why Molly was hung up on being in the respective party to the point of doing what I described in the OP), but the issue arises when 8 people sign up and 7 people are running the actual Caravan. It's malicious leeching that needs to be rectified.
