    One servers Economies is not going to mess the other but you know what this topic is really dumb and azurymber at this point is just trolling. i don't see one world messing up with any other world economies

    even if the to enter event A cost 1mil by the time the low level get high enough to do that event everyone would have over 3+mil it super easy to make money unlike ffxi so in ffxiv the economies really is not run by money but hard to come by items i don't even care about money i have over 10mil and can make anything i want so there really is no need to waste money lol.
    Hopefully they won't come out with that sorta system in this game. lol Paying 1 million doesn't seem like a lot, but think about if it cost 1 million gil to fight garuda. Right now people are playing hell just trying to get 8 people together for it and wipe repeatedly learning the fight. If it had even a 100k per person entry fee it would be abandoned completely.

    I knew FFXI had changed a lot since I left @ the first abyssea expansion, but I didn't realize they made HNMs into pop-mobs. To be honest, I'm not too sure how I feel about that as I never got in on the HNM scene really and it would have been cool to be able to farm my own pop-set.

    I do think that FFXI would have been a great model for FFXIV though, if they just would have kept what worked and dropped what didn't, but that's another story altogether.

    NO SE will base the price of npc cost vs the amount of gil you can earn in X amount of time The reason airship Fee is 5k is because you can easily earn 20k in 7 min from a guild leve. They are not gonna base the price of something cause a few people on one server has 200 mil gil.

    I actually just started a thread about introducing a consumer price index to regulate gil on each server independent of the others: http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...ces-%28CPI-%29

    The CPI is used by the FED to help regulate inflation, the very issue that you are talking about, and could be very useful to the game economy. It could be used to increase the reward from guild leves if needed and help regulate the introduction of gil to the removal of gil from a server. I agree it's hard to set a blanket price for all servers when the economies can differ drastically.

    How would some other server affect your char on your sever... honestly, I don't see the point in this thread.

    If you are assuming that every sever will be wiped, then I am pretty sure the devs already said that was not going to happen so... whats the big deal?

    I like the idea of making a specific sever for a fresh start for 2.0 for all the people who would interested in starting anew when the game has been adjusted to a more appropriate state.

    The best part about this economy thread is, any player can do their job adequately without the OMG leet gear.

    There is a significant problem with trying to compare the indavidual server economies of ffxiv to those of real world nations.


    The key difference is the server economies are closed system where monetary supplies, goods and services and their attendant prices are effected by only those on the server itself, national economies are open systems where international trade is a factor that is not present in XIV... There is no interserver trade. So the economy of say durandal, can not be affected by market surpluses and shortfalls from day... Balmung.

    As to the additon of npc bought items, that will not be affected by players Gil stores but decided upon by player Gil earning potential. That is the primary reason the airship tickets work the way they do...

    These are first year macro-Econ principles.
