As of last Saturday they can still link if you're in party. Went to farm key stones with couple of friends between fights. hit a wolf had 2 more + a tree link. it's not always but it does happen.

I also thing the song aggro was kinda a joke lol... just somthing ironic about tip toe really carefully past these mobs but you can make as much noise with songs thunder magic etc and they cant hear you....
