Building a better Alphinaud

The main problem with endwalker is there are so many character but very limited time for everyone to shine, considering the usual age of most elezen, alphinaud is considered veeeeeery young even with all the experience he had, even having near other character in scion will make him the lesser lead, for him to actually have better character development is to actually being less with other scion and try to solve problem by himself, even with being with WOL or any other scion will block that character development because the wol and scion can solve the problem faster either with brute force or smarter way of solving it, i think the direction of the game for the scion to disband and kinda go their oen separate way is a good thing, especially with alphi and alise with the least interaction with wol or other scion, that way they can be more mature and learn to stand on their own, the sad thing would be we didnt see any of that as player

A good attempt to salvage the character in my opinion. I'd even be happy with how he is now if he was challenged more and learned from it rather than his word being taken as truth and law and every nation in Eorzea running with the mad schemes of a child.

His character growth is touted so much but he never seems to get any smarter, his naive and stupid actions just continue to get people hurt over and over. Shadowbringers for example, Alphinaud's choices and plan nearly get Kai-Shirr killed, and by extention, nearly got US killed.

Am I really to believe this character has gotten any smarter when his grand idea to get into Eulmore was to convince them he could turn produce into pearls (potentially by trading with a hostile beast tribe,) and then expect he'd never have to prove he could do it again? Instead he lets some other kid take credit for it, a kid with no magical talent or means to defend himself, and sends him right into a city we know is fishy and throws people right off the top floor if they aren't useful anymore?

Without going onto another rant of how much I hate Alphinaud, and how he seems to learn the same lessons every single expansion, your ideas help a lot and he definitely seems to slowly grow. I am still of the opinion however that the literal children in the Scions need to just be sent home until they go through Elezen puberty . Garlemald and the Ascians are bad, but Eorzea openly fields actual child soldiers and no one bats an eye!
