Considering the Oceania data centre only exists because JP demanded it to get rid of 外国人 instead of actually, y'know, helping Oceania residents -- never. Ever. Neeeveerrr ever. Japan would blow gasket.

Also the market price gonna be a hell in JP server if you can still can buy it from other region...
I've been enjoying Data Center Travel so much! I haven't even touched the other 6.18 stuff. So much fun.
I think regional travel would be lots of fun, too.
Cross-region travel might sound fun, but it's likely to be problematic in different ways, starting with lag and language barrier.
I have a level 90 character in Japan on Chocobo and it's fine although the language is an issue especially when it comes to hunt calls for A trains given it's hard to understand the ping information. Tonberry is a server with a lot of English speaking people. Traveling to the EU and Materia would be nice although it would be a hard sell to allow those and not Japan.

I had a friend in the EU that used to play on Excal, but left it behind due to bad ping which really hurt during savage content.
Yeah Lag is really overstated at least between NA and EU, I'm a Irish player who plays on Crystal and have other EU friends who have mains on Crystal, its honestly not that bad at all
To piggy back off this I would like to put my vote in for cross-region travel. I would love to be able to play with my friends on Oceania and European servers. And I'd love to host my friends on my server. They could disable markets for cross region travel if people are so worried about economies being destabilized
how bad is bmung? i transferred out about 2 months ago because i thought it would become highly questionable
